Rob Douma

Born in 1968, Schiedam (Netherlands). My parents had at that time Dobermanns and I have them all my life, another important breed in my life are the Tibetan Spaniels.
With the Dobermanns and Tibetan Spaniels we booked excellent results, for the Dobermanns also at working trials.
Before I became a judge I work a lot as an ringsteward in Holland and also in other countries.
At the age of 8 years old I told some famous judges that I want to become a judge, they told me that I had to wait till the age of 25 years. I passed my first breed exam(Dobermanns)at the age of 26. At that time I was the youngest judge in Holland. Nowadays I am qualified to give CC in more than 80 breeds in the following FCI.groups 1, 2, 3, 9 and 10.
I had the honour to judge on 3 continents, in 19 different countries and I judge in particular at specialty-, national – and international show. I have judged in the following countries;
Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Danmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Greece, South-Africa and Indonesia.
I judged at the World dogshow 2002 and at several Winnershows and important titleshows abroad.
In the next few years I hope to complete the following FCI groups 1, 2 and 9. But offcourse you have to prepare yourself very good, sometimes you have to wait so you have all the small details in your fingers about a particular breed.
Further I was a committee-member of the Dutch Dobermann Club, Dutch Miniature Pinscher and Affenpinscherclub and secretary of the breedgroup Pinschers and Schnauzers..
I speak and write Dutch, English and German.
